DAY TOUR IN MARRAKECH / CHARMING RED CITY

DESCRIPTION

Begin the day at 9:00 am immediately after having your breakfast, then you start your visits with a visit to the iconic Jemaa el Fna, the center of Marrakech. Explore the city’s oldest and most vibrant square, filled with snake charmers, musicians, and other street performers. The best way to discover the old medina is by walking through its alleys. So, we will take a stroll through the winding streets of the medina in the Old City, stopping to browse the vibrant souks, or markets, filled with handcrafted items. Then, you will have a break for lunch at one of the many traditional Moroccan restaurants in the city. Enjoy a delicious tajine, a local dish made with meat, vegetables, and spices, served with couscous. Continuing our day tour with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakech. Admire the beautiful minaret, the tower from which the call to prayer is made. Our next stop will be the Saadian Tombs, the burial site of the Saadian dynasty. Marvel at the ornate decorations and detailed tilework in the tombs. Later, spend the late afternoon taking in the views from the top of the Kasbah, the walled fortress that overlooks the city. The day will be incomplete without enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner of couscous and tajine, served with a glass of mint tea. Finally, end the day with a walk through the illuminated streets of the city and a visit to the bustling night markets.
