8 DAYS TOUR TO MARRAKECH CITY & DESERT FROM CASABLANCA

Itinerary tour to Marrakech:

Day 1: Casablanca – Fes

Your driver will pick you up from your Casablanca hotel to start your personalized tour to Marrakech. Before traveling to Fes, where we will spend the night in a riad or hotel, we will first tour the city’s top cultural attractions.

Day 2: Fes – Guided City Tour

On the second day of your tour to Marrakech, we start by meandering through Fes alleyways and congested streets, we will explore the oldest Moroccan city. We’ll start our sightseeing at the entrance to the Royal Palace before moving on to the Jewish center, where the first Mellah was ever constructed in Morocco in the sixteenth century. We’ll make sure you visit all the places that are historically significant and culturally significant, including the renowned and oldest university in the area, Al Qaraouine.
Our itinerary will also include the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll tour a variety of cooperatives before taking in a breathtaking overview of Fes’s Medina and spending the rest of the evening at your riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

Continuing our tour to Marrakech, we will depart for Merzouga after breakfast at your accommodation in Fes, passing through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco, as we travel through the Mid-Atlas region. Next, we’ll travel a little further to explore Azrou’s cedar forests, where we’ll stop to feed the Berber gorillas. We’ll have lunch in Midelt before continuing on to the Ziz Gorge by following the Ziz River (valley). We go through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani before stopping to tour the souk (local market). As we reach Merzouga and spend the night at a local motel, our day comes to an end.

Day 4: Merzouga desert tour 

We will depart for Merzouga after breakfast at your accommodation in Fes, passing through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco, as we travel through the Mid-Atlas region. Next, we’ll travel a little further to explore Azrou’s cedar forests, where we’ll stop to feed the Berber gorillas. We’ll have lunch in Midelt before continuing on to the Ziz Gorge by following the Ziz River (valley). We go through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani before stopping to tour the souk (local market). As we reach Merzouga and spend the night at a local motel, our day of this tour to Marrakech comes to an end.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

On the fifth day of your tour to Marrakech, we will get an early start to catch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert, and we will ride camels back to the village afterward. From there, we will go to Tinghir to get to Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorge, the Todra Gorge. After lunch in the gorge, we will continue to the Dades Gorge, where we may build castles and the geological formations known as “monkey toes/feet.” Here, we may take a break to go on a stroll within the valley. We will stay the night at a nearby hotel or riad in the Dades Gorge. 

Day 6: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh (tour to Marrakech)

After breakfast, we will travel through the road of a thousand Kasbahs as we head towards Ouarzazate (fortresses). We will make a pit break in Kalaat Mgouna (the heart of The Valley of Roses) for a stretch and a bite to eat. We will then continue our private tour, first stopping at the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, before traveling across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakesh, where we will stay the night in a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech guided tour

We will be given a tour of Marrakech today. You will see the city’s top sights, including the well-known Jamma el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We will also look into Fes Jdid’s “New Fes”-related areas of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle.

Day 8: Marrakesh – Casablanca Med V airport

Depending on your flying schedule, today. If you have the time, you might spend the afternoon exploring Marrakesh’s less well-known neighborhoods and eating lunch at a neighborhood eatery before our service is concluded with a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
