8 Days MARRAKECH desert Tour AND Imperial Cities

Itinerary of the Marrakech desert tour:

Day 1: Exploring Marrakesh

Before we start our Marrakech desert tour, we will have a walking tour in the Medina of Marrakech. You will see the city’s top sights, including the well-known Jamma el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. Aspects of the city including Gueliz, The Menara Garden, and Marjol Garden will also be explored.

Day 2: Marrakesh – Tizi n Tichka pass – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

Your Marrakech desert tour begins today with a view of the Atlas Mountains as we wind our way through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco World Heritage site that has been featured in films like Gladiator and the well-known HBO series Game of Thrones. The next stop is Ouarzazate, where we’ll see the Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah. From Marrakesh, we’ll continue our journey to the Rose Valley, which is renowned for its yearly Roses Fest. We’ll travel to Dades Gorge to spend the night in a riad or hotel there.

Day 3: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga desert

The next stop on our Marrakech desert tour will be Todra Gorge, a vibrant, enticing canyon that is well-known among outdoor enthusiasts. We’ll keep going through the Ziz Valley until we arrive in the oasis town of Erfoud, which is also known as the entrance to the Sahara desert and is noted for its distinctive fossils. There is a local shop where these objects may be bought as mementos, as well as a nearby factory where we can go and see how craftsmen and home décor made from fossils are manufactured.
After that, we’ll travel to Rissani to visit the local souk before continuing on to Merzouga through the desert. Sleep in a downtown hotel or riad.

Day 4: Merzouga desert

On the fourth day of our Marrakech desert tour, we will spend today touring the Merzouga Desert. With the choice of going camel trekking or touring in the comfort of a 4×4, you’ll have the opportunity to “do your own thing.” We’ll also go to Khamlia village, which is well-known for its folk music. We simply can’t pass up the chance to enjoy the Sahara desert’s baffling sunset behind the dunes. With the assistance of knowledgeable guides, we exit the car and set off on a camel ride across the sand dunes until we reach the Merzouga Desert Camp, where we will spend the night in Berbere tents. A distinctive and traditional Berbere supper, capped off by tribal music around a desert fireplace, will make this wonderful night enjoyable and memorable.

Day 5: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes (Marrakech desert tour)

To catch the sunrise, we’ll get an early start, travel to our accommodation on camelback, and then return. We’ll leave the hotel after breakfast and drive past Rissani and Erfoud before stopping for lunch in Midelt in the Atlas Mountains. After that, we’ll travel to Fes and spend the night there.

Day 6: Fes guided tour

We’ll love strolling through its narrow streets and alleyways as we discover the oldest Moroccan city today.
As far as other cultural and historical attractions go, sightseeing includes stops at the Jewish Quarter, the Royal Palace entrance, Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum.
Before having dinner at a nearby restaurant, you can spend the afternoon touring the intriguing medina. At a nearby riad or hotel, we’ll spend the night in Fes.

Day 7: Fes – Rabat – Casablanca

Continuing our Marrakech desert tour and imperial cities. Fes is divided into three distinct areas: Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is the oldest and has more than 9000 winding streets and alleys protected by a thick wall; Fes-Jdid, also known as “new Fez,” which is where the Jewish quarter is; and “Ville Nouvelle,” which is the most recent area of Fez built during the French occupation. We’ll travel to Rabat and then Casablanca later in the day.

Day 8: Casablanca – Marrakech

We’ll tour Casablanca’s top landmarks and sites today, including the Hassan II Mosque. After enjoying lunch at a local eatery, we’ll next travel back to Marrakesh, where our tour comes to a close.
