Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane-Azrou-Midelt

We cordially invite you to have a guided camel excursion in Merzouga to learn more about the Sahara Desert. The seven-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakech begins with a pick-up from your Fes lodging by your driver/guide. You will then travel via Merzouga, past Ifrane, and to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you will find wild monkeys. The chance to photograph Morocco’s wilderness will be excellent. Enjoying the scenery of Midelt, we resumed our journey to the Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco after taking a break for lunch in the little Berber settlement of Zaida. We spent the night in a hotel.

Day 2 : Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga desert (desert tour from Fess)

After breakfast, the seven-day trip from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakech begins. You travel through the lovely gorges of the Ziz to wonder at geological formations, arrive in Errachidia, a major city in southeast Morocco, then proceed to Rissani via Ziz valley and arrive in Merzouga. There, your camel guide will be waiting to carry you across the country’s tallest sand dunes, the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the night in a Berber tent at the base of the sand dunes, where you will eat dinner and take in Berber music played on drums.

Day 3: Merzouga- Toudra gorges – Dades Gorges

After riding camels back to the hotel after leaving early in the morning to catch the sunrise on the dunes, guests can then go through Rissani to Tafilalet’s enormous palm grove. Animals can be found at the historic public souk in Rissani. We stop for lunch on the route to Gorge Toudra and take pictures while walking through the gorges. Then, we proceed via Dades Gorges, cross the gorges, and take shots of the mountains and monks’ feet. We’ll stay in the motel for the night.

Day 4: Gorges dades- Kelaat Magouna – Ouarzazat-Ait Ben Haddou

The program for the 7-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakech is as follows: we depart from Fes at 9 a.m. and go via the Dades and Roses valleys, the Skoura oasis with its genuine 17th-century kasbah, and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, crossing 50 km of off-road valley tracks. Arrive in Ait Youl Kasbah before traveling to Ouarzazate, a city famous for its film studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Continue on to the well-known Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, where just a few families still call Ait Ben Haddou home. We spend the night in Ouarzazate’s hotel.

Day 5: Ait Ben Hadou – Tizi n Tichka -Marrakesh

After morning tea, our 7-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakech will take us to the Ait Benhadou Kasbah, which is listed as a World Heritage Site and where so many American movies, including “The Gladiator” and “Asterix and Obelix,” were filmed. Day 7: Rabat –Meknas – Fes

At 9 a.m., we continue our journey to Meknes, stopping along the route to explore Volubilis and discover its Roman ruins. Upon arrival in Moulay Ismail’s city, we tour the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, countless edifices, gardens, enormous gates such as Bab El-Mansour mosques, and enormous fortifications. We proceed to Fes, where we will stop for dinner, and the night before the 7-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga and Marrakech concludes.
