6 Days Desert Tour From Fes To Marrakech City Sightseeing

Itinerary tour from Fes:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

The first round of our wonderful tour from Fes is a drive into the Atlas Mountains with a pause in the village of Ifrane, where we’ll get the opportunity to see the well-known cedar forest, which is home to the Berber apes. After that, we’ll proceed on to Midelt via the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge, where we can pause for photos and some fresh mint tea. After that, we travel on to Merzouga, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night at a local Riad to cap off the day.

Day 2: Merzouga desert camel ride to the desert camp

On the second day of your tour from Fes, we’ll tour the surrounding desert area of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes today. The tribal way of life and the dramatic difference in the desert will be on display for you to observe. We’ll go to the ebony village of Khamlia and enjoy some Gnawa music there. In the historic capital of Rissani, we will have a classic Berber pizza for lunch. We’ll relax for the night in the desert camp after riding on camelback in the late afternoon to see the sunset over the sand dunes. In the magnificent Sahara desert, we will enjoy a classic Tagine meal, savor some delectable local mint tea, and listen to some traditional Berber music while sitting around a campfire and admiring the stars and the rising moon.

Day 3: Merzouga desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge (desert tour from Fes)

Before leaving for Ouarzazate, we’ll get up and travel to a nearby hotel where you can get ready and eat a nice breakfast. We’ll stop in Berber settlements en route to The Todra and Dades Gorges. We’ll make a halt at a nearby hotel at the Dades Gorge where we’ll stay the night and receive a free dinner.

Day 4: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate

Following breakfast, we’ll continue our desert tour from Fes toward Ouarzazate through the Route des Mille Kasbahs (fortresses), stopping in Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of Roses, which is well-known for its yearly Rose Festival. We’ll stay the night in a neighborhood hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakesh

Our next stop of this tour from Fes is the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco World Heritage site that has served as a filming location for numerous Hollywood productions, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the renowned HBO series Game of Thrones.
The next day, we’ll go to Marrakesh via the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass and stay the night there at a local hotel.

Day 6: Marrakech guided tour

Marrakesh will be the location on this day. The key sights of the city, such as the well-known Jamma el-Fna square, the Koutoubia mosque, the souk, the Royal Palace, and a few museums, will be explored by you. Before completing our tour at your hotel or airport, we’ll also view the city’s contemporary district, known as Gueliz, which includes the Menara Gardens and Marjorie.
