2 Days Tour From Marrakech To Zagora Desert

Itinerary of 2 days tour from Marrakech to Sahara desert:

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka Mountain Pass – Ouarzazatte – Zagora

We start our 2 days tour From Marrakech, we take a private excursion that crosses the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, which winds its way across the Atlas Mountains. Following that, we travel on to the oasis town of Ouarzazate at the edge of the desert, Ait Benhaddou.

The entrance to the Sahara desert, Zagora, is our next stop. To go to our overnight camp, we will ride camels across the rocky and sand desert for an hour. We’ll eat tagines and bread there and take in a night of traditional Berber performance, which will include chanting and drumming by the campfire.

Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazatte – Marrakech

We’ll get up early to ride camels to see the dawn, then travel to a tiny motel to refresh up. Then it’s back into the 4×4 and off to Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning kasbah that has regularly served as a filming site for Hollywood productions like Gladiator.

Before returning to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, we’ll stop there for lunch first.
