15 Days Grand Cultural Tour To Explore Morocco From Tangier
Itinerary of the cultural tour from Tangier, Morocco:
Day 1: Arrival AT Tangier
Our cultural tour in Morocco starts with a brief tour of Tangier’s city. Thank you for visiting Morocco. After the trip, we will transport you to your hotel in the medina.
Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Today, we will continue our cultural tour in the direction of Chefchaouen. On our adventure, we will traverse the Rif Mountains and enjoy the stunning sights that these mountains have to offer. We’ll take a tour of Chefchaouen, a city renowned for its lime-washed blue and white houses. then take you to a small hotel or riad in the area.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
On the third day of our cultural tour, we will depart for Fez and travel to Moulay Idriss, a significant Moroccan holy site, after breakfast. We will travel on to Volubilis, which has some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in this part of northern Africa. (Site was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.) We want to visit the famous gates of Bab el-Mansour and Bab el Khamis while we are in Meknes. Late afternoon is when we plan to arrive in Fez.
Day 4: Fez guided tour
This day is dedicated to Fez, one of the first imperial cities honored. Fez, which was the Moroccan capital for more than 400 years, is still considered the country’s spiritual and artistic center. We come across the impressive medina El Bali (which is worth a few days of walking in itself). Other notable sites are the Merenid Tombs, the Royal Palace, the Medersa Bou-Inania or Attarine, which is located in Nejarine and features an incredible mosaic fountain, and the Mellah (Jewish quarter). the night at the neighborhood Riad. This day will make your cultural tour rich and make you aware of the true Moroccan culture.
Day 5: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
On the fifth day of the Moroccan cultural tour, you will drive to Merzouga. As we pass through the Mid-Atlas Mountains, we will be in awe of their breathtaking panoramas. Our route will take us past beautiful cities and cedar forests (Ifrane and Azrou). Before continuing on to Merzouga while traveling through the Ziz Gorges and the High Atlas Mountains, we will have lunch at Midelt. The gorges were formed as a result of the Ziz River’s power. The Erfoud path leads to the well-known Merzouga dunes (Erg Chebbi), where we will have dinner and spend the night in nomadic shelters.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra – Dades Valley
Before continuing on to Boumalen Dadès, we will watch the sunrise over the Merzouga dune system. On our way to Tinghir, we will pass through the towns of Tinjdad and Jorf. The Todra gorges will be our next destination in this cultural tour. We will stop for a leisurely lunch in the beautiful setting before traveling to Boumalen Dades, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate (Cultural tour in Morocco)
Early in the morning, we will go off for the Valley of the Roses. After exploring this settlement, we’ll move on to Ouarzazate, and on the way there, through the Skoura Oasis, we will make a pit stop at the well-known Taourirt Kasbah (one of the most attractive and beautiful sites in southern Morocco). It is also possible to visit the Ouarzazate film studios, often known as Moroccan Hollywood. Spend the night in a hotel or riad close.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Today, we are traveling to Marrakech, one of Morocco’s four historic cities and which will give our cultural tour a wonderful vibe. On the road to Marrakech, we will stop at the old Kasbah of At Ben Haddou (UNESCO as world heritage). Then we’ll continue on to Marrakech. On our way there, we will cross the highest road pass in North Africa. You will have Marrakech to yourself for the day and spend the night at a conventional riad in the city’s medina.
Day 9: Marrakech guided tour
Because our tour is based on culture, our tour of Marrakech today includes stops at the Saadian tombs, El Bahia Palace, and the Koutoubia mosque. The well-known Djemaa el Fna square and its souk are among the afternoon excursions available after a full day of Marrakech touring.
Day 10: Marrakech – Agadir
Continuing our Moroccan cultural tour from Marrakech, we will drive by vehicle to the beach resort of Agadir. The day is all yours to do as you choose, whether that be lounging on the beach or exploring the city. In the evening, we’ll transport you to your hotel in Agadir for the night.
Day 11: Agadir – Essaouira
Today we continue our journey toward Essaouira (called Mogador), one of the sites that must be included in this cultural tour. There, fishing, kitesurfing, and paragliding are all ideal. The harbor is filled with brilliantly painted boats that the local fishermen have lovingly decorated, making it a lovely diversion. We’re spending the night right here.
Day 12: Essaouira – Casablanca
Today we are going to continue on our cultural journey to Casablanca (the economic capital of Morocco). Safi and El Jadida will be our first two stops as we make our way to Casablanca along the coast. You are welcome to stay the night at a nearby hotel and explore the city after our free program in Casablanca.
Day 13: Casablanca – Rabat (Cultural tour)
Today, we will see the most popular sights in Casablanca, such as the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, Parc de la Ligue Arabe, and Place Mohamed V. In the late afternoon, we continue our drive toward Rabat, one of the four imperial cities. Our destination is the Hassan V tower (the minaret was begun by the Almohad sultan Yacoub al-Mansour in 1195 and was intended to reach 60m, making it the largest and highest in the Muslim world). The marble shrine of Mohammed V will be our next stop. We stay the night in a nearby Rabat hotel.
Day 14: Rabat – Asilah
Before we end our Moroccan cultural tour, we leave early in the morning towards Asilah (one of the most beautiful old cities in Morocco). It is a calm beachfront neighborhood on the Atlantic coast that has paintings along the meandering alleyways and is regarded as an exclusive, upmarket introduction to Morocco. The Mediterranean aesthetic is evident in the town’s architecture, which includes whitewashed houses with blue accents. We will explore this gorgeous, whitewashed village and then spend the night in a small neighborhood riad.
Day 15: Assilah -Tangier
After breakfast, we take a car back to Tangier. After viewing a few interesting sights, we will bring you to the port or the airport before to your planned departure. End of your cultural tour in Morocco.
